Responsibilities:

Clinical Supervisor – Full Time – Three Forks Senior Living

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor manages the operation of the Clinical Supervisor Department including: Support in maintaining standards in resident care services; support in supervision and oversight of the care staff including training and assigning overall duties in accordance with the residents’ needs; support with meeting financial and budgetary guidelines; and support with upholding state regulations/Cornerstone policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Possesses knowledge of nursing principles (geriatrics, senior living, and long-term care), professional standards of nursing practice and ability to apply to resident specific circumstances
  • Report directly to Resident Care Director
  • Supervisory role for the care staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director & Resident Care Director
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the community’s mission, vision, and core values
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident and facility property
  • Maintain a good rapport with families
  • Must be willing to be on call 24/7 and work scheduled Manager on Duty weekends
  • Support with charting and reviewing progress notes and incident reports and developing a plan to minimize the reoccurrence of the event
  • Complete follow-ups on:
    • Support with MD notification or change of condition
    • Support with Family notification of change of condition, labs, physician orders, etc.
    • Support with new admission chart review and clarifications
    • Support with chart reviews
    • Support with monthly MAR audits
    • Support with scheduling of care staff
  • Communicate with Resident Care Director to ensure quality care of residents
  • Maintain effective, positive working relationships with all department heads and the team
  • Maintain high professional standards and represent the facility well
  • Attend and participate in daily standup meetings
  • Provide education to care staff as necessary and required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Care Director

Educational Requirements

  • Current LVN/LPN license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Three to five years in senior living experience preferred
  • Knowledge of nursing theory and standards of practice
  • Experience managing staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
